Yorkshire Roots was born when our passion for horticulture took a turn towards the weird and wonderful, Artisan crops. Having strong horticultural and business backgrounds we launched our sister company, Postplants, last year. It was during this time that we thought about ways we could challenge ourselves and push the boundaries of modern horticulture. We use a mix of high-tech equipment and traditional methods to grow unusual, gourmet produce. Our site is self sustainable through the use of solar power and water harvesting.

All our crops are grown in the Howardian Hills, an area of outstanding beauty in North Yorkshire. Our location puts us in easy reach of York, Harrogate and Thirsk and allows us to delivery freshly cut crops within just a few hours.

We created our Chefs Garden range to provide quality, fresh Microgreens to some of the best gastro pubs and restaurants in the country. We have the capabilities to grow quickly without any compromise on quality meaning Chefs can be assured that quality produce will always be readily available.

Whilst we have a monthly growing plan we can adapt and cater for special requests at no extra cost.

We don't mass produce; every step is taken to ensure that our root fruits and vegetables are grown and nurtured using traditional methods. Our goal is to achieve full organic status in the coming months.
